Going to the movies has long been a past time in this world. Heading out to the theater for an evening away has always been something that people have looked forward to and as such we continue to enjoy it to this day. We love seeing the next selection that Hollywood has to offer and we can sit and dream about favorite actors or actresses.
While there has been a sharp decline in movie attendance over the past few years this is still a normal activity for people. Using the movies as a proper date is also common as it tends to level the playing field. Because you are both nervous during the first date you can see that watching a movie cuts out the small talk problem.
Then there is the experience. While watching a movie at home may be more comfortable there is nothing like seeing something on the big screen. The sounds are different and the feeling is different. Seeing all the action and drama unfold in jumbo size and hearing the music and dialog blast from the speakers is nothing shy of amazing.
But the idea of the movie theater has changed over the years. We are all used to the normal set up that has been in place for nearly one hundred years but the new generation is demanding more from the movie theater experience. With that in mind we are going to look at some of the changes and see where they are taking us.
Stadium Seating One of the major improvements that has been made to the movie theater is the seating. While in the past you were at risk for a bad time when someone tall sat in front of you this is no longer a problem. The new movie theater has stadium seating which means that each row is a bit higher then the next. As such you can always see.
Picture Quality Because of the onset of the digital age the picture quality is much better. Using the digital cameras and all the movie theater is able to provide a better view of the picture without the added expense. Some companies still use the film but the lesser expense of the digital films has made it a much more pleasurable experience for all to enjoy.
Sound The new sound systems that are in place come directly from the demand of the consumers. You can see that by using the new sound systems you are getting a better tone. The volume can be higher without being distorted and the overall experience is greater. Some of the movie theaters have added surround sound to draw even bigger crowds.
As you can see there have been many changes to the whole movie theater experience. As a general rule they have changed other things as well, including the quality of the food and all that. Many of them have even gone to putting in gourmet coffee bars to meet the growing need.
